A passport-size picture is usually required with a visa or passport application. The photo needs to be fairly recent (not older than 6 months).
How to Use the Passport Photo Creator
- Decide on the size of the required passport pictures. Different countries require different-sized passport photos. There are three options available:
USA: 2 x 2 inches (51 x 51 mm). The head must be between 1 -1 3/8 inches (25 – 35 mm) from the bottom of the chin to the top of the head.
Canada: 1.8″ x 2.2″
Rest of the World: 3.5 cm X 4.5 cm
- Take a photo of each person according to the following instructions.
- Insert each photo into the passport photo editor by clicking on the camera icon. On the left, you will see an option to upload a photo from your PC.
- Download the photo and have it printed at 4” x 6”. It must be printed on photo-quality paper and in color.
How to Take Passport Photo Pictures
There are certain requirements such as:
- The background must be white or a very light color.
- Your head must face the camera directly so that your full face is in view.
- You must have a neutral facial expression or a natural smile.
- Wear clothing that you normally wear on a daily basis
- Both eyes must be open without glasses.
- No hat or head covering unless it is for religious purposes. If so, it cannot obscure your face or cast shadows.
